VINTAGE REPORT
The 2009 vintage started wet, but as the rain fell during the stage of ‘flowering’ the crops were lower throughout the Nullo Mountain vineyard. The rain did stop, but when it stopped, it stopped completely which let the fruit ripen steadily as there was no rain interrupting the process. The result of this dry finish to the season meant that harvest was a littl e earlier than previous vintages and an increase in natural acidity in the berries.
WINEMAKING
The sauvignon blanc bunches were carefully handpicked and sorted to ensure that only the best fruit was included in the crush. The wine was cold fermented in stainless steel tanks with an aromatic yeast to compliment the natural flavours typical of the variety.

WINEMAKER’S NOTES
With a backbone of herbaceous flavours of cut grass and nettle bush, this wine also shows a hint of tropical fruit with finely balanced acidity. Best consumed now, this wine will develop well under the correct cellaring conditions.
